Elcon Precision produces parts made from Monel. Monel is composed principally of Nickel and Copper, with minor amounts of Iron, Manganese, Carbon, and Silicon. Monel alloys are stronger than pure nickel and extremely resistant to many corrosive agents, including saltwater and toxic gases. These properties combined with its ductile properties makes Monel an ideal candidate for electronic applications.
Compared to Steel, Monel is tricky to machine because it work-hardens quickly. With over fifty years of experience and expert technicians, Elcon Precision is distinctly prepared to manufacture Monel parts and provide unique solutions. We can produce components from sheets up to 12X12 inches in size and between 0.002 to 0.025 inches thick.
